Is The Drive To Shelby Worth My Time?

This usually leads people to ask, “Why should I drive to Shelby when I can go somewhere closer?” We understand the reason behind the inquiry and want to share a few reasons why we believe that you will find value in taking the time to make the drive.

The drive time is not that much different.

If you have ever tried to drive anywhere in Charlotte or any other large city, you understand the frustration of being stuck in slow to almost standing still traffic, all to go a short distance! Here are just a few points to consider why a drive to Shelby is not so bad.

  • It’s no more time than driving to or from the Lake Norman area (and at least you are moving most of the time and not sitting still on 77!)
  • If you plan your trip after the morning rush hour and before the afternoon rush hour, it is less than an hour from the Myers Park area.
  • Our process is more efficient. Since we have all the products in the showroom and offer “live design”, we can accomplish a great deal with one trip to our showroom. Other showrooms that don’t provide real-time design can lead to multiple trips, and your project can drag out for weeks.

Many of our clients will tell us that they enjoyed the drive to Shelby because it was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Plus, we have some of the world’s best BBQ at Red Bridges Barbecue Lodge, or maybe you prefer their rival Alston Bridges BBQ, yes, it is a local ‘battle of the BBQ.’ You can always find hidden treasures in a small town, so be sure to plan your trip with plenty of time to explore Uptown Shelby.  or maybe make plans to stay the weekend, we promise you will have a great experience, read here to learn more.

We offer a unique customer service.

To us, it is more than selling a product; it is about building a relationship with our clients. This is the foundation and philosophy upon which our company was built. Our clients matter to us and their specific needs are what drive us to create a design that is unique for their lifestyle. Our number one priority is to learn our clients, no one is the same and neither are their needs. Each client has something unique about them and that is what we want to cater to, to find that blend of styles that matches them. The experience we have gained over the years in home renovations, combined with our extensive knowledge of our products, is what sets our service apart. We understand what works and what doesn’t in a home, and we also know how to create a design that blends all your wants and needs into a perfect balance. Our clients always appreciate how we can take their ideas and bring them to life, that is our specialty and our calling.

Our products stand out from the rest.

There is a difference between going to Lowe’s and buying premade cabinets versus shopping with a company that can custom make your cabinets to suit your space and style. We also have the unique ability to use more than one cabinet line in your project, to help you stay within your budget. Our kitchen and bath designers excel at designing cabinets to meet your needs and your budget.

“There are tons of cabinet options, most of which use particle board in some areas. We wanted solid wood and quality construction.  Greenbrook Design is where we came up with the layout and design features. We also visited the shop of Walker Woodworking, seeing the attention to detail and quality in production confirmed that we made the correct choice. Quality and design were very important to us!”

Will kitchen islands go out of style? The answer is no. The kitchen island is often the focal point in the kitchen and one of the most sought-after features in a kitchen renovation; in fact, it is one of the most versatile areas in the kitchen. Need a place to do some homework? How about a family dinner or brunch? Looking for a surface where you can spread out when cooking? Some extra storage for large pots and mixers would be nice, too. All of this and more can be accomplished with a kitchen island; some might even call it a mini kitchen within the kitchen. This flexible workstation can be created to reflect any style, accommodate any size, and suit any need. Today, we want to answer some common questions about the kitchen island, explore the benefits, and explain why it will never go out of style.
