Design Notes
An organized kitchen is the foundation of a smooth cooking experience, allowing you to focus on what truly matters—creating delicious meals. When designing your new kitchen, it’s essential to plan your space thoughtfully. This includes not only considering large items but also measuring smaller essentials, such as cutlery, plates, and platters, to ensure every item has a designated space. A well-organized kitchen isn’t just visually pleasing; it makes daily tasks more efficient and enjoyable.
With a wide variety of unique storage options available, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. That’s where our expert design team at Greenbrook Design comes in. We’ll guide you through the selection process, helping you choose the best solutions tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle. Whether it’s pull-out shelves, custom drawer dividers, or clever corner storage, we have a range of options to transform your kitchen into a well-oiled machine.
Here are a few ways we can help you get the organized kitchen you have always dreamed of having.
Pullouts – Both Large and Shallow
Vertical Storage — The possibilities for pullouts go beyond traditional pantry-style drawers. These special decorative pullouts, designed for specific items, can enhance the functionality of your kitchen. Groceries are easy to find and use, rather than being lost in the back of a cabinet and forgotten. This is an excellent option for using absolutely every inch of your kitchen and keeping it organized.
Making Use Of Every Space!
This homeowner wanted to utilize every available space, so we added panels on the end that open into shallow, adjustable shelves. These shelves are ideal for storing spices, multivitamins, and other small items that tend to get lost in larger pantries. This is one of the many ways to design custom cabinets that can help you organize your kitchen. Read a few tips from Wayfair.
Custom Drawers Can Organize Your Kitchen
Drawers can often provide the convenience of storage and the ease of reaching everything that is needed without having to dig forever. Greenbrook Design offers a wide range of options to suit every need and product imaginable for your kitchen.
Divide and conquer—taking it to the extreme. One of the things only a custom cabinetry company can provide is custom drawers. Whether it is a custom utensil drawer or deep drawers to fit all of the pots and pans, there is a drawer to fit every need. See an example of this in one of our recent projects.
Double Decker Drawers
This is always a client favorite! Double-decker drawers are most often used to store utensils. With the increasing availability of kitchen gadgets, more space is required to store these items for easy access. Over the past few years, these double-decker drawers have been incorporated into many of our clients’ kitchen designs. We use heavy-duty Blum Soft-Close Undermount Drawer Slides in all our drawers.
Silverware Dividers
Keep things in order with drawer organizers – Cluttered drawers can alter a kitchen’s functionality and efficiency. All of our new kitchens come with a complimentary silverware tray divider to help you organize your kitchen. This is how you make use of all the space in a large drawer. Keeping your silverware organized is a must. Sometimes, one is not enough. These are easy and inexpensive to add to your drawers during the design phase of your kitchen.
Old meets new to create a blend of something beautiful, which is one way to summarize grand millennial style. While minimalism is still a popular trend, many millennials are finding comfort and freedom of expression from their beloved family heritage. Grand millennial is a combination of the new with things of the past, like that old wingback chair from grandma’s attic, and breathing new life into it through reupholstering it. This style also pairs perfectly with many people’s desire to recycle and reduce waste by repurposing existing materials. Let’s unpack this style a little more and find out if it is right for you.
