Check out the before and after in this project!
Before & After Cabinet Makeover (Same Footprint, Big Impact)
Customization allows your space to be designed and constructed precisely to your specifications. Although the layout remained unchanged, the remarkable shift from a darker to a lighter color scheme is stunning. However, it’s the added details inside the cabinets that make this kitchen truly exceptional and personalized for the homeowner
Kitchen Perimeter
This stunning kitchen features Walker Woodworking’s frameless build method for a clean, modern feel. Cabinets are painted in Benjamin Moore Decorator’s White, paired with Cambria Ironsbridge countertops—elegant and durable with soft, natural movement.
Top Knobs hardware in a brushed polished nickel finish is used in various sizes to match each drawer’s scale, blending form and function. Smart storage is built in throughout: a K-Cup drawer with custom inserts keeps coffee pods neatly stashed, while tray dividers above the refrigerator, a slanted spice drawer insert, and a tip-out tray at the sink add practical organization. A Lemans corner unit makes deep corner cabinet access effortless, and a custom wood hood serves as a beautiful focal point over the range.
Kitchen Island
Build Method – WW Frameless
Finish – BM Evening Dove
The island in BM Evening Dove adds a bold pop of color and style to the kitchen. Inside, it’s all about smart storage: a silverware divider keeps things neat, a built-in Sharp microwave drawer is easy to use and out of the way, and a double pull-out trash can makes cleanup simple. Plus, there’s a deep drawer for big pots or bulky items—no more digging around.
Fun Fact:
Do you like the color of these blue cabinets?

Before & After
Before & After Cabinet Makeover (Same Footprint, Big Impact)
Before:
The kitchen had a traditional layout with stained wood cabinets that stopped short of the ceiling, creating a shadowed line and wasting valuable vertical space. The darker finish made the room feel smaller, and the limited internal storage meant items were often crammed or hard to reach. Organization was minimal, and accessing daily essentials required digging through deep shelves or cluttered drawers.
After:
Keeping the original footprint, the transformation is dramatic. The new white perimeter cabinets now extend to the ceiling, creating a seamless, tailored look that draws the eye up and maximizes storage. Benjamin Moore classifies “Evening Dove” as a perfect blend of navy, black, and charcoal, which is just one reason why the kitchen island looks so good paired with a white perimeter. The organization was optimized to the fullest by adding features like deeply organized drawers, dividers, and pull-outs. With intentional compartmentalization, every inch of storage was designed based on how the space is used, making everyday life easier, tidier, and much more efficient.
