Remodel Project – Lawndale, NC
Frameless Metropolitan cabinets

Objective:
To transform the space to better suit the needs of the homeowners and their love of cooking and entertaining. The goal was to create a space that was unique in style, cabinetry, and interior details, coordinating with their vision and the rest of the home.
Simply, to elevate the kitchen into a haven of style and efficiency.
Kitchen Perimeter
Metropolitan Cabinets – Frameless
Finish – SW Pure White with Myers Park – door style
Frameless, semi-custom cabinets by Metropolitan, in a bright painted finish, instantly lifted the room, offering a sleek, modern look while significantly increasing storage capacity. Oversized drawers and a blind corner cabinet solution ensured that every inch of space was maximized for practicality.
At the heart of the kitchen, a classic Kohler apron-front sink reinforces the farmhouse-inspired design, blending charm with durability. The countertops—Cambria Inverness Bristol Bay—unify the cabinetry with elegant movement, featuring soft white backgrounds streaked with subtle blue veining. This choice not only complements the cabinetry but also brings the client’s vision of a lively, colorful kitchen to life.
Balancing modern functionality with timeless appeal, this remodel proves that great design is both beautiful and efficient.
Kitchen Island
Metropolitan Cabinets – Frameless
Finish – SW6230 Rainstorm with Myers Park – door style
Beauty in a Multi-Functional Island
The centerpiece of this kitchen is an oversized eat-in island, thoughtfully designed to serve as a prep station, gathering hub, and statement piece. Topped with a stunning Cambria Inverness Bristol Bay quartz countertop, the island beautifully complements the painted cabinetry, creating a harmonious and inviting aesthetic.
Its generous footprint allows for multiple uses—from casual family meals to entertaining guests—making it the true heart of the home. Ample integrated storage, including push-latch access on the backside, ensures every inch is utilized efficiently while maintaining a clean, seamless look.
The island also houses the range and oven, flanked by a convenient spice drawer and utensil divider to streamline cooking. The kitchen’s overall layout promotes a smooth workflow, enabling effortless movement between cooking, cleaning, and socializing.
Unique Features
A separate cabinet made specifically for a coffee station that can be closed off with doors when not in use.
In Conclusion
This kitchen remodel is a successful blend of form and function—where thoughtful design meets everyday practicality. The harmony of bright whites and rich blue frameless cabinetry, paired with Cambria Inverness Bristol Bay countertops, sets a serene yet sophisticated tone. Farmhouse-inspired accents, including sliding barn doors and a sleek microwave drawer, add charm and convenience without compromising modern appeal.
Bathed in natural light, every element—from the expansive island to the smallest storage solution—was meticulously planned to enhance functionality, organization, and flow. The result is a kitchen that not only fulfills culinary needs but also inspires connection, creativity, and comfort in the heart of the home.
