Objective: Design a modern, sophisticated space showcasing the beauty of walnut cabinets and metal cabinet doors. Natural lighting enhanced the overall ambiance and atmosphere of the kitchen while also providing an eco-friendly touch. The result should be a functional and stylish kitchen that meets the needs of the homeowners.

Kitchen Perimeter

Kitchen Perimeter Remodel
This walnut modern kitchen perimeter was custom-crafted by Walker Woodworking using a frameless cabinet construction in stunning natural walnut, allowing the wood’s rich grain to take center stage.

Hardware Resources’ Sutton pulls in a mix of bronze and black finishes to complement the cabinetry with a tailored, understated elegance.

Key features include

  • Floating walnut shelves that mirror the cabinetry’s natural finish

  • Roll-out drawers for optimal organization

  • A custom walnut shiplap hood, adding texture and craftsmanship

  • Double trash pull-out, plus spice and utensil pull-outs flanking the microwave for smart storage

  • A docking drawer for hidden tech organization

  • Black metal Stoll cabinet doors with clear glass and LED-lit interior sides, blending industrial edge with functional display

This perimeter design brings together form and function with refined materials and thoughtful detailing.

Kitchen Island

Kitchen Island 
At the heart of this space is a stunning custom kitchen island by Walker Woodworking, designed to blend bold style with functional craftsmanship.

Built with a frameless construction using maple, the island is painted in Sherwin-Williams 6990 Caviar with a luxurious satin sheen finish—offering dramatic contrast and a refined, modern edge.

The interior cabinetry is also maple, showcasing the quality and continuity of materials inside and out.

Featuring the custom Sagebrook door style, the island is accented with bronze Sutton hardware from Hardware Resources, tying seamlessly into the kitchen’s overall palette.

This island isn’t just a centerpiece—it’s a powerhouse of style and utility.

Unique Features

This modern kitchen features natural walnut cabinets that exude elegance and sophistication. The rich, warm tones of the wood provided a striking contrast against the beautiful granite backsplash. The backsplash had a unique design with a mix of glass and metal cabinet doors, adding an extra layer of texture and depth to the space. The natural lighting that pours into the space from the windows enhances the beauty of the kitchen. The combination of all these elements created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
