Sophisticated Urban Bistro – Kings Mountain,NC
Objective:
The redesign of the bar and seating area was thoughtfully executed to achieve a modern yet welcoming urban bistro ambiance, blending contemporary design elements with functional upgrades to enhance both guest comfort and staff efficiency.
The Bar
The overall design blends glass, black shiplap, quartz, and tile to create a visually unified, welcoming space where guests “feel at home” while enjoying the elegance of an urban bistro.
The use of black and white in this space is the perfect illustration of the beauty that can be accomplished with contrast. Each material comes together in a unified design that continues to invite the eye to browse. The custom bar is functional with multiple storage areas, puck lighting in the shelves, stainless steel countertops, and a flip-top countertop, making it easy to go in and out for the employees.
-
The bar boasts stainless steel countertops with a flip-top design that enhances functionality for staff.
-
Puck lighting illuminates the shelving, while floating wood shelves, a mirrored bar, and a subway tile backsplash contribute to a sleek aesthetic.
- Notably, the bar includes a custom footrest and hooks for hanging purses, making it more user-friendly and accessible. The redesign also ensures ADA-accessible bar seating.
Banquette Seating
Banquette Seating at 133 West
The banquette seating was designed to maximize the space in this attractive urban bistro while creating a warm, intimate dining experience. The use of warm wood for the banquette seating stands out beautifully against the black shiplap. The glass panel partitions add elegance to the space but still ensure a measure of privacy between the drink rail and seating. The built-in style brings a polished, cohesive look to the dining room while offering diners a sense of privacy. At 133 West, the banquettes combine durability with modern design details, complementing the overall urban bistro aesthetic and enhancing the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere.
