Remodel Project – Weddington, NC
Objective:
Objective: Design an open kitchen with a narrow island that allows easy traffic flow on either side.
Soft Green complements and creates harmony within this kitchen
This thoughtfully redesigned kitchen centers around a multi-functional island, strategically placed to serve both sides of the space. Acting as the heart of the kitchen, the island doubles as a buffet line and features ample storage with fully equipped drawers, maximizing both efficiency and accessibility.
Kitchen Perimeter
One of the standout elements of the kitchen design is the inclusion of pocket doors strategically placed on the cabinetry. These innovative doors offer a practical solution for concealing small appliances, such as the coffee maker, blender, and toaster, allowing for a clean and uncluttered countertop. When closed, the cabinetry maintains a sleek and streamlined appearance, ideal for those who appreciate a minimalist aesthetic. When needed, opening the pocket doors reveals an efficient storage solution that prioritizes both accessibility and style.
Additionally, the rich craftsmanship of the cabinetry adds a touch of elegance to the overall decor, with finishes that not only complement the kitchen’s theme but also stand up to everyday use. Whether you’re an aspiring chef or someone who enjoys hosting gatherings, this thoughtfully designed kitchen is equipped to make daily tasks more enjoyable while catering to a wide range of culinary adventures. The combination of functionality and beauty ensures this kitchen remains the heart of the home, inviting everyone to gather, create, and share.
Kitchen Island
Green is a calm and harmonious color, especially in its soft green hues, making it a wonderful choice for this kitchen design. The gentle, muted tones contribute to a soothing presence that complements the bright white perimeter, creating a tranquil and welcoming environment for the whole family to enjoy.
Acting as the heart of the kitchen, the island serves a dual purpose as both a buffet line and a functional workspace. With its ample storage and fully-equipped drawers, it maximizes both efficiency and accessibility, ensuring that everything needed for cooking and entertaining is within easy reach. This thoughtful design not only enhances the kitchen’s aesthetics but also promotes a sense of community and togetherness among family and friends.
Unique Features
The design separates the workspace for optimized function, placing all cooking appliances on one side and the sink and dishwasher on the other. A clever addition includes pocket doors for cabinetry that discreetly conceal small appliances, such as the coffee maker. Cherry wood roll-out drawers directly below the coffee station offer designated storage for mugs and accessories, making morning routines effortless. Paneled appliances integrate smoothly into the cabinetry, maintaining a clean, cohesive aesthetic throughout.
