New Construction – Hendersonville, NC
Objective:
To make a connection to the natural surroundings of this Mountain View home. Creating space that blends rustic wood elements with contemporary mountain style by bringing the outdoors inside with windows and proper lighting.
Kitchen, Island & Hood
“A Light-Filled Mountain View”
Light is the common thread in this stunning mountain retreat. With countless windows throughout, natural light pours into the spacious interior, creating warmth, welcome, and a constant connection to the outdoors.
Though expansive, the home feels intimate and functional thanks to the thoughtful use of pillars and beams, which subtly define each living area. The minimal yet refined interior design complements the natural surroundings, offering an oasis of relaxation away from life’s hustle and bustle.
Contrast plays a key role in the design: a bold blue island stands out against light wood flooring, while crisp white walls highlight the richness of darker beams. The range hood, built from reclaimed wood provided by the homeowners and designed to match an inspiration photo, adds a personal, bespoke touch to the kitchen.
Each space carries its own distinct blend of elegance and rustic modern charm, yet together, they weave a cohesive story of comfort, beauty, and timeless mountain living.
