Objective: Design an open kitchen with an island that accommodates seating for the family.
Traffic flow is a key component in kitchen design, as it contributes to how many people can move around easily within the kitchen, and this layout is perfect for this family. The homeowners requested a custom-made T-shaped island that not only provides a work space but doubles as a table for four or five.
Kitchen Perimeter
White remains a classic color choice for cabinets. It is clean and refreshing and goes with just about every design style and color palette. The blending of white and just a touch of blue in this kitchen creates a welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for hanging out while dinner is cooking or gathering with friends.
Medallion Cabinetry Perimeter with Built-In Wine & Coffee Station
This kitchen perimeter features Medallion cabinets in a Sea Salt finish, built in the Classic Providence flat-panel door style. Paired with Hanstone Chantilly countertops, the design is soft, clean, and highly functional.

The blue cabinetry in the butler’s pantry combines function with sophistication, featuring Medallion cabinetry in a Gale Classic finish, Providence flat-panel doors, and Hanstone Chantilly countertops.

Unique Features
The homeowners requested a custom made T-shaped island that not only provides a work space but also doubles as a table for four or five. There is also a unique feature in the narrow section of the island, which lets you access the contents from both sides, saving you a trip around the room. Incorporating a few glass cabinet doors also helps brighten up the space, along with the soft backsplash color. Another bonus feature includes two pull out shelves underneath the wine cooler and Miele coffee maker, which gives you extra room to place your coffee mug or wine glass while you pour. It is these types of add-ons that personalize a space just for you and your family.
