Kitchen Introduction
This kitchen perfectly marries classic craftsmanship with modern utility and aesthetic flair.
Starting with a clean slate for design, this open-concept kitchen and new construction home was the result of a thoughtful collaboration between Meredith Beregovski of Georgia Street Designs and Taylor Walker of Greenbrook Design. The open layout allowed for a seamless flow between kitchen, dining, and living spaces, creating an inviting environment ideal for both everyday living and entertaining.
From the outset, the design team emphasized the importance of integrating custom cabinetry with a cohesive design concept to guide and support the construction process. By prioritizing planning and precision, every detail—from layout to finish—was carefully executed to create a space that feels both timeless and tailored.
The result is a kitchen that not only serves as the heart of the home but also reflects a seamless fusion of beauty, function, and enduring craftsmanship.

Custom Cabinetry – Kitchen Overview
This beautifully crafted kitchen features custom cabinetry built with quarter-sawn white oak (QSWO), finished in Rubio White to highlight the wood’s natural grain with a soft, matte elegance. The custom cabinetry is constructed using the inset build method, creating a timeless and refined look where doors and drawers sit flush with the frame. The distinctive door style known as the Marion Door adds a tailored sophistication to the space.
The kitchen’s heart includes high-end appliances like a 30-inch Sub-Zero freezer and a 30-inch Sub-Zero refrigerator, seamlessly integrated behind matching custom panels for a cohesive aesthetic.
Functional enhancements include
- A Rev-A-Shelf spice pull-out for organized seasoning storage.
- A utensil pull-out and knife inset, cleverly concealed for easy access, yet a clutter-free workspace.
- A classic gallery rail post detail adds a subtle touch of brass elegance and vintage-inspired charm.
Visually, the kitchen balances warmth and luxury with
- A blue and brass range as the central feature, sitting against a soft, patterned wallpaper backsplash.
- Elegant pleated pendant lighting above the island and coordinating wall sconces bring a layer of ambient charm.
- Stylish blue upholstered counter stools with floral patterns for an inviting yet sophisticated seating area.

Kitchen Island Description
The kitchen island is a stunning centerpiece, meticulously crafted from quarter-sawn white oak (QSWO) and finished in Rubio White, allowing the natural grain to shine through with subtle warmth and texture. Built using the inset construction method, the island features Concord slab doors, delivering a clean, modern silhouette with refined edge detailing that complements the rest of the space.
Functional elements are seamlessly integrated into the island’s design, including:
- A Bosch panel-ready dishwasher that blends invisibly with the cabinetry.
- Hidden push latches for a sleek, hardware-free aesthetic on select panels.
- A double trash pull-out and built-in silverware divider offer organized utility with everyday convenience.
- Discreet outlet covers that maintain the island’s clean appearance while providing easy access to power.
To enhance the architectural detail, the island is accented with tubular metal legs in a warm brass tone, adding structure and a touch of vintage sophistication to the airy, open design.
This island exemplifies the balance of form and function, merging clean lines, practical storage, and elegant detailing into a show-stopping yet highly usable centerpiece for the kitchen.

Casual Dining Built-In
Designed with both elegance and functionality in mind, this casual dining built-in is a thoughtful extension of the kitchen’s design story. Constructed using the inset build method, the cabinetry is finished in a distinctive Sherwin-Williams Poetry Plum (satin finish)—a rich, moody tone that adds depth and personality to the space.
The design features a mix of door and drawer styles for visual interest and storage versatility.
- Glass doors showcase curated dishware and decorative pieces.
- The Concord Door style provides a subtle contrast with clean, tailored lines.
Timeless Cremone bolt hardware adorns the glass doors, bringing a refined, European-inspired touch. Pull-out trays offer effortless access and practical storage, while Osborne tapered legs elevate the cabinetry with sculptural detail, enhancing the built-in’s furniture-like appearance.
This custom piece serves as both a beautiful display and a hardworking storage solution, perfectly blending classic charm with purposeful design.

Family Room Built-In
Serving as a structural focal point in the family room, this custom-built-in combines architectural interest with refined detailing. Constructed using the inset build method, the cabinetry is finished in Sherwin-Williams Lattice, a soft, neutral hue that adds lightness while complementing the overall palette of the home.
A standout feature is the gracefully curved end, which introduces subtle movement and a sculptural quality to the design. This curvature is thoughtfully balanced by a shiplap back wall, adding texture and depth with a modern nod to classic craftsmanship.
Blending form and function, the built-in anchors the space with understated elegance, offering storage, style, and a seamless connection to the home’s cohesive design language.

A QSWO wood top in Rubio White adds warmth, and built-in mirrors, hanging rods, and sleek glass doors complete the space with refined functionality.
Even the homeowners’ feline fur baby approves—often found lounging in the closet, clearly appreciating the thoughtful design and cozy elegance of their new home.
