Pacific Ocean Blue Cabinets

Many of our clients often opt for traditional color choices for their cabinets, but bold colors are becoming more popular, and we love it when our clients decide to make a visual statement through colors like this Benjamin Moore Pacific Ocean. This color is a stunning contrast to the white backsplash and upper cabinets in this 1939 home.

Kitchen

Objective: Design a kitchen that reflects the style and feel of this 1939 cottage home while giving it the updates needed.

History is important to us, and we loved renovating the kitchen of this 1939 cottage home. One request from the client was that we create shelves around the refrigerator that matched the home’s original architecture. The results were perfect, blending the old with the new for an elegant look. The homeowner also secured an authentic vintage sink complete with a porcelain drain. The color contrast between the upper and base cabinets is stunning, with the quarter-sawn white oak narrow island providing some warmth and extra prep space. Another request made by our clients was that we build a stand alone pantry but not paint it, they wanted to add their own personal touch to their kitchen. This project successfully captured the past while bringing it up-to-date for the homeowners.

Dry Bar

Objective:  Turn an old closet into a dry bar.

When the clients bought their home, they noticed an old built-in shelf and closet in the same corner. They had the brilliant idea to transform it into a functional corner by creating a dry bar and closing it in a cabinet. Working with the existing built-in was a great challenge for our design team, and by placing glass door frames over the upper area, they could create a usable space. The closet was the perfect place to install a dry bar and is a client’s favorite.
