This U-shaped kitchen faces the dining and living areas of the home, making it essential that it matches the overall design style. White cabinets were the go-to choice, but the kitchen island was made the focal point by using walnut wood. Some additional elements included glass-front cabinets and LED lighting. Together, these things combine to create a warm and inviting heart of the home.
Kitchen + Entryway
Objective: Design an open kitchen that blends with the entire home’s style.
The kitchen is about connection since it opens to the rest of the home. You can easily see into the dining room and even peek around to see the front door. This kitchen has several wow factors that make it stand out. The eye is naturally drawn to the stunning island made from walnut wood, framed perfectly by the white perimeter. Another highlight is the elegant upper cabinet with chinchilla glass doors and LED strips that light it up beautifully. Several great storage features are tucked inside this kitchen, including roll-out pantry drawers, adjustable shelves, and tray dividers.
The base hutch located near the home’s entrance gave the owners a stylish place to store their wine glasses in pull-out drawers. There is also additional space to store other items.
