Happiness is great food and great company

Food has an amazing superpower. It has the ability to bring people together, to start a conversation and create the perfect environment to dream. In the small town of Shelby, NC sits a hidden gem loved by locals and travelers from afar, Newgrass Brewing Company. This little brew is the perfect place to hang with a few friends or make new ones.  Located only two blocks away from Greenbrook Design, and one block away from the Court Square, this new, state of the art brewery, is a first for Shelby. Newgrass is the first micro-brewery in Cleveland County and we were honored to play a part in the construction process.

Farm-to-table

Newgrass is everything you want in your brewery, craft beer, a farm-to-table kitchen, and live music every weekend are a few of the things that make Newgrass unique to this area. Not to mention an atmosphere that exceeds all expectations, one that is perfect for those little relaxed gatherings.  You get a small town feel while enjoying craft beer, food, and entertainment that can be only found nearby in big cities. Newgrass is one of a kind and we are lucky to have it in Uptown Shelby.

Preserving the past

While Newgrass brewery has only been open since 2015, it is full of charm, character, and history.  They are dedicated to preserving the past which is clearly evident when you walk through their doors. You can visit this hidden gem along with many others in Uptown Shelby which is just an hour from Charlotte, Asheville, Hickory and Greenville, and just a few minutes from the Tryon Equestrian Center.  Along with Newgrass, Uptown Shelby has other restaurants, shops, and destinations for your small town “Daycation”.
